Our Suggestions
If you are in the area for a couple of days we wanted to provide you with some activities and ideas on how to spend your time.
Lucca
We suggest that our guests stay in Lucca. This quaint walkable city is enclosed by 16th-century renaissance walls and located near our venue. It provides guests with options for dining, activates and leisure. We have provided more detailed suggestions here.
Barga
For those looking to stay closer to the mountains this lesser known medieval town featuring labyrinth streets is location about an hour drive from Lucca and provides visitors with a small town feel.
Although this town is great for a day trip we suggest renting a car if you plan to stay to provide you the freedom to move around the area.
Florence
If you plan on staying in the area a bit longer we also recommend enjoying a few days in Florence. Florence is located only about an hour outside of Lucca and can be reached by train.
Mountain Activities
Lucca is located incredibly close to a beautiful area of the Appennini Mountains. If you are looking for a bit more adventure there are plenty of outdoor activities, from hikes to kayaking. We are happy to provide some additional information to those who are interested.
